I DNF'ed this book.I like the alter-ego philosophy and respect its strength in transforming performance. Before reading this book, I had applied some of its strategies in different areas of my life or as the book refers to them "the fields of play". Both on the basketball court and at work have I taken on multiple personas that I believed needed to show up at specific critical moments. The book itself however was written in a way that did not engage my mind. As always, I also only listen to most of these books on my commute in my car lol so factors such as the narrator's voice and his narration style can make or break a book for me unfortunately. I felt like someone was selling me something therefore I could not theorize and digest the information in the book in an academic sense. I might give this book another go in 8 years.
